130303 - Dream Team at Hyupseong University

Today's location was in Suwon, about an hour's train ride away from Seoul... when we got there at 12.30pm, the DT members had not arrived yet because they were actually filming the opening game at Suwon Park... When they finally got here together on a bus, Hyeong Kon alighted wearing a black-red chinese traditional robe... one HK fan, was so shocked/smitten, she dropped her camera... haha. I called out his name, he turned and smiled for my camera a couple of times and I managed to grab some shots before I got chased away by the security... (me and a few other fans were waiting at the carpark...)
The participants disappeared for a while, and came out changed into regular sports outfits. T_T What a pity I wanted to see more of Hyeong Kon in the costume... he makes everything look good. *thumbs-up* After that, they filmed the opening interviews, and when that was over they came by to give out snacks again - again packaged nuts which I'm not a fan of, so I didn't struggle down to the frontal bleachers, I sat at about the 4th row and took a whole lot of shots... XD
Anyway today is a standard obstacle course game again! Hyeong Kon was pretty fast but got stuck at the end because he had to swing a really huge heavy ball till it knocks over a 'human turtle' standing on the other end... and his "turtle" seemed pretty steady while Hyeong Kon look kinda out-of-sorts today... I think his first drama shooting, IRIS2, is taking a toll on him. ><'' He looked quite strained trying to wind and pull the ball back and swing it forward... 2 players go at once so his opponent managed to knock 'his turtle' off first so progress into the finals of the game, leaving Hyeong Kon eliminated.
But of course, by now we know there's a 2nd-chance game for the eliminated folks, so this time round was a flag-grabbing race - a LONG one.... every round eliminated 1 contender and there was like, 8 of them? So Hyeong Kon had to run up-and-down the field... and we shooters along with him so that we can take photos of him both at the starting position (where they were being interviewed/lying proned in starting position), and at the ending spot where the flags are. (That was more exercise than I ever had for the entire month, by the way...) Anyway, Hyeong Kon 'survived' until he was the last 2, and at first I was happy because usually 2 contenders will pass through the survival game to the final obstacle course - but to my horror they announced that they will eliminate will 1 final contender is left... so Hyeong Kon had to go against long-legged Dream Team ACE, Ricky. T_T I noticed Ricky has been faster, esp. against a tired Hyeong Kon, and as expected - Leader-sshi lost. But he good-naturedly grabbed Ricky's hand to help him up, and the two even hugged and got out of the pit with their arms around each other like good buddies... ^^
BUT this was not the end! The extra spot in the finals was to be decided by yet ANOTHER survival game - 4 contestants were tied together and on the blow of a whistle, dashed in 4 different directions to attempt to be the first to hit a button in front of them respectively... about 5 meters away? Hyeong Kon, after much amusing straining and scrabbling on the ground, managed to hit his first, then rolled over and looked shagged out. ^^;; And as expected in Round 2, where an already-tired Leader was pitted against bull Eli of U-Kiss... he lost. ><''
At this point, they had a break for dinner - they had been filming the pre-opening games from 7am and hadn't had a break since, not even for lunch - so we all ate, filming was to start at 720pm again... leader came back, sat around, but sddenly got up and left before 8pm while they were waiting for them to sort out something with the final obstacle course set...? We tried to run after him but got to the carpark too late so there's no leaving photos. ^^;; It's the first time he's left before the entire DT finished filming (he's always stayed for the closing filming so far), so we suspect it should be IRIS2 filming that he's leaving for... either that or to see a doctor as he looked pretty unwell today. It's not THAT cold yet whenever he a break from filming, he put on a big jacket and covered himself with a scarf and was even holding a heatpack to his throat... >.<'' Leader, please recover soon....
